Pre-Read Workshop on Miranda Fricker's, Epistemic Injustice
The aim of this workshop is to explore the concept of epistemic injustice, which reveals an
ethical dimension of epistemic life. We will read Miranda Fricker’s book Epistemic Injustice
- Power & the Ethics of Knowing. She investigates testimonial injustice, in which someone is
wronged in their capacity as a giver of knowledge, and hermeneutical injustice, in which
someone is wronged in their capacity as a subject of social understanding.
