On December 1st 2025, the executive board made the difficult decision to go on hiatus from December 2025 through December 2026. As a result of this decision, we will not collect membership fees for 2026. All members in good standing with SW*IP CH in 2025 will be automatically taken over once we resume our activities in 2027.

 

This decision is due to lack of time and increasing professional commitments of the board members. While on hiatus, we will not organize or coordinate activities or projects nor share information. As well, an automatic reply will be set on the info@swipswitezrland.org email as well as posted on the website and the instagram indicating that we are not available during this time. 

 

The SWIP group operating locally in Basel will continue their work. If you would like to stay informed about their events or are interested in organizing an event with them please contact Johanna Rensing at: swip@unibas.ch

 

SW*IP CH will return from hiatus in January 2027. The annual general assembly meeting will take place online on January 12, 2027 from 18:15. This meeting is open to prospective and current members. At this meeting we will decide on the future projects and priorities for SW*IP CH.

When SW*IP CH resumes its activities in 2027, we are looking for members on all levels (students, postdocs, professors) to get more involved and continue the important work of SW*IP CH. Please let us know if you have any questions.
